God is the gracious lover of undeserving men and women all over the world. The family here, at Bethany, has come to experience God's love in many
wonderful ways, especially in finding forgiveness through his son Jesus. The expression of our gratitude to God has become very important to us. It is showing
itself in increasing measure through heart-felt worship, loving service to one another, and humble attempts at sharing our faith to the community around us.

Our Faith/Beliefs

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
This inerrant revelation from God is our only authority for
faith and conduct.

We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in
three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that every man by nature, because of his sin, is
under the wrath of God and justly condemned to hell.

We believe that God in His love offered His divine son,
Jesus Christ, as the only acceptable sacrifice for sin.
Through His blood sinful man may again be restored to
eternal fellowship with God.

We believe that salvation comes to individuals by grace
through faith and instrumentality of the Holy Spirit,
completely apart from human merit and works.

We believe that Christ has instituted the local church for
the instruction and fellowship of christians and the
evangelization of the world.

We believe in the personal, bodily return of our Lord Jesus
Christ, at which time He will establish His earthly kingdom.

Pr. Howard Wells
I have been serving as senior pastor at Bethany since
1989. This fellowship of believers was my home church
even when I was a child and the place of my conversion
at 8 years old. I have been greatly blessed in being
given the privilege of serving as pastor here with my
family including my wife, Meta, and our children Nathan,
Rachel, Nina, and Laura. One of the things I love about
Bethany is that over the years it has become a loving,
welcoming and caring community of believers striving to
become like Christ and to share His love with those who
do not know Him.

Pr. Lou Curcio
I was born into a large Italian family in Paterson, NJ.
At the age of ten, after hearing the gospel message at a
local church, I trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and
Savior. Having a strong desire to serve Christ, I
attended Northeastern Bible College for ministry
training. Its where I met my wife Patti. The LORD gave
me an opportunity to serve as a Youth Pastor in my home
church for 13 years and later to teach and coach in a
Christian school in upstate NY for an year before coming
to Bethany in 1996. I currently serve as an Assistant
Pastor, elder, teacher and Family Life Center ministry
coordinator. Patti and I are blessed with four children.
I enjoy fishing, sports, coaching, history and of course
spending time with my family.
